Belles of the Met Ball

The Met Gala, another reason for Hollywood to get all glammed up and pose on the red carpet.  There are bound to be hits (as well as some misses).  Rounded up here are the top 5 looks I loved.

Kentucky Derby Fashion

"If you don't wear a hat to the Kentucky derby, you'll feel like a woman who wears jeans to a little black dress party."-Sheila Nobles of C.K. Nobles, official millinery designer for the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs.  Perch a hat on your head and prepare, Saturday is the day for the Mint Juleps, Southern Charm, and "The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports."

Space Mermaid

Lanvin/Marc by Marc Jacobs/3.1 Phillip Lim

Perhaps the prettiest spring trend of them all:  Iridescent.  Futuristic fun meets metallic mermaid.  Colorful from every angle, it's easy to see why major designers played with this holographic fashion on the runway.   For a major impact, don an iridescent dress or top.  For a more settle effect, go with a rainbow-like, oil-slick inspired accent clutch or pair of oxfords.
