This {whatever wednesday} is a little different than the typical.  With my birthday tomorrow (woo hoo!), I decided to put together a little "splurge on myself" wishlist.  Every year, I usually treat myself to something I've usually wanted for a while as a "another year in the books / Happy Birthday to meeeeee" present.  If I was about to go shopping and ultimately buy what I wanted without thinking twice, here are 5 things I would treat myself to.  What would be on your birthday wishlist?

Sleek metallic and a sky-high platform heel, these are not your average sandals.  Surprisingly versatile, similar styles have been spotted on Lady Gaga and Jessica Alba.  Pair with jean shorts and a kimono for a bohemian day look or a culottes jumpsuit for a night out.

Design Inspiration Monday

With summer in full swing, my mind is consistently concentrating on getting outdoors, whether it is going to the park, local events, socializing, or entertaining.  There is a brewery in St. Louis (Earthbound Brewing) that uses tree stumps as stools, which I absolutely loved.  Loving the idea so much, I went to the extreme Google search of "tree stump stools."  Lo and behold, this rustic outdoor dining area...the answer to my search results, a dream entertaining space with perfectly placed tree stump seating.

With espadrilles being one of the "it-shoes" of the 2015 summer season, it's not too late to dive in to the style.  This particular pair, I'm really loving.  Flatform base, contrast colorblocking, and quilting details combine making these a stylish and comfortable flat.

Design Inspiration Monday

Mondays can be rough.  Mondays after a long holiday weekend can be especially rough.  This Lincoln Park flat living room by Wendy Labrum Interiors is the remedy for those Monday blues.  Patterned pink pillows adorning the oversized tufted sofa create a feminine feel to the room, while the giant gallery wall proves this design element is still having a major moment.
